Travis AndersonTravis "The Walker" Anderson is an American podcaster, formerly a co-host on the Max Wrestling Podcast. Travis was the final Max Wrestling Promo Champion in his record-tying second reign. He is also a former Max Wrestling World Champion, 7-time Max Wrestling Predictions Champion - also currently holding the record for longest continuous reign, former PromoBowl winner and the 2021
King Of The Mic. He is a member of the House Of Ashes faction and only the second person to have won all five championships that have been available in Max Wrestling. During his time as a co-host, Anderson was part of the Four Max Horsemen. Despite leaving his seat behind, he is considered an honorary member of The Max Elite. After leaving as a co-host, Anderson became eligible for Group MVP, which he we currently holds. Anderson became a regular Max Wrestling Podcast co-host in 2020 originally covering Mike Larkin's hiatus and eventually replacing The B******. Travis has competed in more promo bouts than anyone else, and has ranged from a straight-shooter to using an intimidating decaying mask - hence the nickname "The Walker". Travis has also promoted the Max Wrestling brand with t-shirts and signs at events, as well as gaining plugs for the Max Wrestling Podcast from Jeff Hardy, Darby Allin, Chris Bey and an appearance by Father James Mitchell. Trivia Career Slow-burn Travis has competed in several trivia battles. Though he has never won the Knowledge Championship, he has come close on various occasions, squaring off with The Phoenix and consistently improving. Anderson competed in the 2021 Iron Bank Challenge against Chad Malcolm, Chris Durham and Moses Marquez, which was won by Durham. He later competed in the Ring Of Games for the Television Championship at the Promo Series 6 Pre-Launch Show, which was won by Marquez. The Phoenix then defeated Anderson to retain his Knowledge Championship the following day. Promo Career Determined Anderson made quite an impression early on in his venture into the Promo Order by immediately targeting then-Promo Champion, The B****** in 2019. He entered the first King Of The Mic tournament that year, defeating Moses Marquez in the first round with 91% of the vote, but was knocked out of the semi-finals by Mike Larkin. Despite being knocked out of the tournament, Anderson continued to challenge The B******, and was made to go through The Kingpin and Courtney Summers before being added to the Promo Championship match at PromoSlam 4 along with Larkin and Robert Davis - where The B****** lost the title to Larkin. Moses Marquez gained some revenge by defeating Anderson in Promo Climax 2 later that year, before Anderson won the rest of his matches in the tournament - winning his block and unsuccesfully challenging Larkin in the final at Promo Series 4: Act Of War. During the tournament, wrestling journalist Andre Corbeil issued a challenge to Larkin for the Promo Championship. Larkin was unable to accept the challenge due to the tournament, but Anderson stepped up to demand Corbeil earn his shot. Anderson then defeated Corbeil at Promo Series 4: Act Of War, earning a rematch with Larkin. Larkin then defended the Promo Championship against Anderson on the 2019 Star Wars special, with the result being announced a week later at the Maxies Awards, where Anderson was crowned the new Promo Champion. As is tradition, Anderson was able to select his own challenger for Podcast Promo Rumble 5, defeating Moses Marquez. He later lost the Promo Championship to The Demoness at PromoMania V, currently making him the shortest-reigning Promo Champion. Shortly after, the first attempt at the Promo League began, where Anderson made the first challenge of the season, calling out The Kingpin but ultimately suffered a loss. He also made the second challenge, going on to defeat The Phoenix - in his first venture into promo competition. Anderson then became the first opponent for Brittney Savage, taking a loss, before later defeating Rob Chef in one of the last matches of the season before it was cancelled. In the second annual King Of The Mic tournament in 2020, Anderson and Cypher requested to be booked against each other in the first round. Together, they decided to shoot their promos together, coming face to face - a first for promo competition in Max Wrestling. Cypher was voted the winner by the new judge panel of Daniel Crimmins and Mike Larkin. Aleksandr Rowen Anderson was chosen for a promo exhibition with The Shape, which took place at PromoSlam 2020, where Anderson gave one of his most passionate promos, detailing his frustration with the King Of The Mic judges, during the promo, he was hacked by the mysterious newcomer Aleksandr Rowen. He later issued a challenge to The Demoness for a championship rematch. The Demoness defeated Anderson, also via the judges panel. Due to challenging The Demoness on opening day of the PromoBowl, Anderson was unable to enter the tournament. However as Aleksandr Rowen defeated Mike Jolly and Cypher to become one of the three winners, his identity was revealed to be none other than Anderson himself in the fatal-4-way Promo Championship match against Chris Durham, Moses Marquez and champion, The Demoness. In the revelation, Anderson explained the gimmick was a ruse because he knew he would not have been treated fairly by the judges had he competed as himself. Anderson was able to confront former judge Crimmins in a tag team promo exhibition at the Maxies Awards 2020, where Crimmins teamed with Robert Davis, and Anderson teamed with The Jester. Anderson then went one on one with Davis in a promo exhibition on the PromoMania VI Pre-Launch show, enlisting some surprise assistance from Impact Wrestling's Father James Mitchell. Reborn As judges were dismissed and results returned to public voting, Anderson competed in his third straight King Of The Mic tournament in 2021, originally requested to be booked against Cypher in the opening round again - also planned to be face to face. Cypher, however, dropped out before the tournament began. Forced to find a last-minute replacement, Anderson defeated an unnamed jobber nicknamed "Mychal Markin" in a cinematic Madhouse match. In the semi-finals, he gained some long-awaited revenge by defeating The Demoness. In the final, Anderson was victorious, becoming the third World Champion - and also the 4th Triple Crown champion. He later relinquished the title four days later after being unable to appear at PromoSlam 2021. Anderson returned in February 2022 in the form of his alter-ego, Aleksandr Rowen. Rowen went on to challenge Chad Malcolm to a promo exhibition at PromoMania VII on Anderson's behalf. Anderson later appeared as himself, explaining his wishes to break free from Malcolm's influence as a reason for the match. The match was later announced to be a contract negotiation - with Moses Marqez overseeing proceedings. During the negotiation, Malcolm continually urged Anderson to read the new contract, which he refused to sign. When Anderson finally did read the contract, he was attacked in his home by his arch-rival, Cypher - who then signed the contract as Malcolm's new client, Malcolm then fired Anderson. After several weeks off, Anderson used his alter-ego Aleksandr Rowen hacked into Max Wrestling, interrupting The Captain. Anderson called out The Jury and announced his own faction the House Of Ashes, promising that a fellow member was Marquez's mystery opponent at Trivia Takeover: Lucky Number 7. Anderson then retaliated against Cypher - stalking and attacking him in his sleep. Championships and accomplishments Max Wrestling Promo Championship (2 times, final)
