Chad MalcolmChad Malcolm, also known as "The Lawyer" is a Welsh podcaster, former host of Bold Prediction Wrestling, Wrestling Millionaire and Bold Prediction Rivals, co-host of Open Road and currently appears sporadically on the Max Wrestling Podcast. He is also a member of Dragon Club.
Malcolm is perhaps best known for portraying Travis "The Walker" Anderson's "lawyer" in promos. He is a former - and longest-reigning - Max Wrestling World Champion, Television Champion and was also the inaugural Max Wrestling Predictions Champion, and has held the title twelve times. Trivia Career 2021 Going towards PromoMania VI, Malcolm entered the 2021 Iron Bank Challenge, taking on Moses Marquez, Travis Anderson and eventual winner Chris Durham. He then took part in the 2021 Champion's Chase at Trivia Takeover 6: Mortal Conflict, advancing to the Final Dash where he and Marquez outran the Knowledge Champion Mike Larkin. Marquez then defeated Malcolm for the vacant title. In the spring of 2021, Malcolm and his former Bold Predictions co-hosts Ryan Sutcliffe and Ryan Taylor began feuding with Max Wrestling in what was known as "The Thursday Night Wars". Both shows aired on Thursdays and for several weeks, both sides would take shots at each other both on-air and on social media. The war ended when the duo known as Ryan Squared parted ways from Malcolm, and Bold Predictions was brought to an end. Malcolm re-surfaced following Trivia Takeover 6: Mortal Conflict, when he began portraying Travis Anderson's "lawyer" during the King Of The Mic tournament. As Anderson advanced, Malcolm was tasked with delivering Anderson's challenge to raise the stakes in the King Of The Mic final. At the PromoSlam 2021 Pre-Launch Show, The Phoenix defeated Malcolm to earn a shot at Marquez for the Knowledge Championship. He was set to challenge Phoenix in a trivia battle for the World Championship, but Phoenix lost the title to Anderson. Anderson was unable to appear at PromoSlam 2021 and had to relinquish the title. Malcolm then defeated Phoenix for the vacant title in their originally scheduled match. Malcolm competed in the Ring Of Games for the inaugural Television Championship at the Promo Series 6 Pre-Launch Show, which was won by Moses Marquez. He also challenged The Phoenix for the Knowledge Championship the following day, which Phoenix won. Malcolm also defended the World Championship in a pre-determined promo exhibition. Being an exhibition, Malcolm and Marquez decided the outcome amongst themselves. In the bout, Malcolm and Travis Anderson broke into Marquez's house, forcing him to sign a contract forfeiting his right to challenge for the World Title. 2022 At Podcast Promo Rumble 7, Malcolm defended the World Title against the Phoenix with the condition that if he lost, he would acquire Phoenix's Iron Bank contract. In the promo exhibition, Malcolm surrendered the title to Phoenix and took possession of the briefcase. He also revealed a hidden clause in the contract that should he lose to Phoenix, he would also have the power to select Phoenix's first challenger - which turned out to be The Captain, who immediately attacked the new champion. In March 2022, Malcolm was challenged to a promo exhibition against his client Travis Anderson at PromoMania VII. The exhibition later became a Contract Negotiation, which ended with Anderson being fired as Malcolm's client and replaced by Cypher. Later in the night, Malcolm was also used as bait by The Phoenix in the Cinematic Sequel. Malcolm cashed in the 2021 Iron Bank briefcase at the end of the match to steal the Television Championship. Over the following weeks, The Captain attempted to recruit Marquez to The Jury, as he was already a client of Malcolm's. However Marquez would not give a straight answer. Finally on May 5th, Malcolm added a stipulation to his upcoming TV Title defence against Marquez, where if Marquez loses, he would have to join The Jury.
