King Of The Mic
King of the Mic is a knockout tournament to determine the challenger for the Max Wrestling Promo Championship at PromoSlam. It is held over seven weeks between eight participants. In 2022, the tournament will move to February, meaning the winner will challenge either the Promo or World Champion at PromoMania.
The original tournament was held in 2019, with the final taking place at Trivia Takeover 4.0: Curse Of Champions, won by Mike Larkin.
Initially, the 2020 tournament was cancelled following controversy in Promo Climax 2, however after the Promo League was shut down, the return of the King of the Mic was announced at Trivia Takeover 5.0: Champion's Chase. It began on July 2nd and was won by Moses Marquez on August 10th.
